August...card of the month-

Flip Flop Fun!

Supplies Needed:
1 pair of white flip flops
Thin sheer magenta ribbon
2 fake flowers
1 Hero Arts Honeybee stamp
2 Hero Arts Small Flower stamps
1 Hero Arts Fern stamp
1 hot glue gun and glue sticks
Thin wire
Azure blue Stazon permanent ink pad
Olive green Stazon permanent ink pad
Royal purple Stazon permanent ink pad

Flip Flop Directions:

1. Stamp around the sides of the flip flop using one of the Hero Arts flower stamps and the azure blue Stazon ink pad. Stamp randomly about every 2 inches.

2. Now stamp in between all of the azure flowers with the royal purple Stazon ink pad and the other Hero Arts flower stamp.

3. On the top of the flip flop, stamp the Hero Arts fern design around the edges using the olive green Stazon ink pad.

4. Stamp the Hero Arts Honeybee design on the top of the flip flops around the edges. Spread them out about every 3 inches.

5. Now take the fake flowers and cut off the stem (don't cut off the stem completely or the flower will fall apart, just very close to the edge of the flower). Wind the middle of a foot long piece of wire around the base of the flower between the green plastic and the petals a couple of times. Then take the two ends of the wire and wrap them around the rubber part of the flip flop to attach the flower.

6. With the sheer ribbon ready, place a small dab of hot glue at the edge where the rubber meets the foam in the middle of the flip flop. Immediately press the ribbon into the glue being careful not to burn your hand. Then wrap the ribbon around one end of the rubber part of the flip flop until you reach the middle, then wrap around middle of rubber on flip flop and flower, then continue to the other end. Place another dab of hot blue at this end and place the end of the ribbon in it.

That's all you need to know to make a fun summer flip flop!
